This project developes self-explanatory laboratory sessions that educate on flexible wireless communications problems and solutions using the ALOE framework and tools. It is the fastest way to experience ALOE. Feel free to download and try out the different ALOE session and send your feedback to flexnets.org@gmail.com.

  • ALOE_S1.pdf? - Introduction to ALOE: ALOE Session 1 introduces ALOE and guides the installation of the framework on a POSIX-based (Linux) execution environment. The main objective is providing a summary of the basic ALOE concepts and functionalities as the basis for the following sessions.
  • ALOE_S2.pdf? - Creating a Waveform: ALOE Session 2 demonstrates the basic ALOE functionalities. You will learn how to create and run a custom waveform based on a set of independent objects.
  • ALOE_S3.pdf? - Creating Components: ALOE Session 3 exemplifies how to create and debug a simple waveform component. After this session you will be able to design digital signal processing blocks for ALOE.
  • ALOE_S4.pdf? - ALOE User Interface (aloeUI): ALOE Session 4 shows how to use the ALOE graphical user interface (aloeUI) for loading, initializing, and running a waveform and visualizing or modifying statistics (waveform states and variables).
  • ALOE_S5.pdf? - Multiprocessing: In ALOE Session 5 you will configure a multiprocessor platform to be managed by ALOE.
  • ALOE_S6.pdf? - Creating Waveform Components with Simulink: ALOE Session 6 provides hands-on experience with using Simulink for creating waveform components. It explains how to use the Mathwork’s tool for creating a component and automatically generating the corresponding C code implementation for ALOE.
